Miss S (旗袍 美 探) is the latest Chinese drama by Tencent Penguin Pictures. The drama, which elevates the Crime, Detective, and Romance genres, was produced by the famous director Deng Ke. The series can be watched every day at 19:35 on BTV and 22:00 on Tencent Video (WeTV). Director Deng Ke has successfully worked on popular Mandarin dramas, several titles including My Girlfriend is an Alien, Detective L, and My Girlfriend's Boyfriend. 

The Chinese drama Miss S (旗袍 美 探) is a remake of the television series "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries" by Deb Cox. This drama stars a number of famous actors, including Ma Yi Li, Vengo Gao, Michelle Dong, Wu Hao Chen, and Bu Guan Jin. Ma Yi Li previously played in the drama series On the Road and The First Half of My Life. Meanwhile the handsome actor Vengo Gao has starred in Chinese dramas starring in the Chinese dramas Eternal Love of Dream, Love and Passion, and Legend of Fu Yao.

The series tells the story of the detective Su Wenli of the Central Patrol Room of the French Concession Police and the detective Luo Qiuheng who worked together to solve the unsettled case. The series premiered on Beijing Satellite TV on August 28, 2020, and was simultaneously broadcast on Tencent Video and BTV.

Synopsis of Miss S (旗袍 美 探)

The story is set in 1940's in Shanghai. The story of a professional female detective who solves many cases. Starting in the 1930s, Su Wen Li (Ma Yi Li) is a woman from the Shanghai social circle. Su Wen Li studied in Europe for years and now from Paris he decided to return to Shanghai. He gets an invitation to lunch at Ma Min Lan's house. But there was an unexpected accident when Ma Min Lan's husband, Hu Yun Lan, died in the bathroom at her house.

Luo Qiu Heng (Vengo Gao) is an inspector from the local police assigned to investigate the case. He judged that Hu Yun Lan had died from arsenic poisoning (an intangible but extremely deadly poison). Hu Yun Lan took the maid named Xiao Tao Zi (Bu Guan Jin) to be investigated. After it was over and even though his suspicions were gone, Xiao Tao Zi was still fired from the Hu family home. Meanwhile, the figure of Su Wen Li who was smart in seeing this case actually brought Xiao Tao Zi to be his assistant, friend and detective assistant. 

Seeing this, Inspector Luo Qiu Heng was very impressed with his wisdom and insight in analyzing cases. Because of this, the two of them form teamwork partners and together solve a mystery and a series of strange cases. Apart from solving cases, in the process Su Wen Li and Luo Qiu Heng started to show interest in each other. How about the exciting story of their next adventure?
