While Türkan, Derya, and Dönen live quietly in Ayvalk with their mother Nesrin and father Sadk Kalender, Rüçhan Korman, patroness of the Kormans, the region's richest family, hears about Türkan's renowned beauty and decides to take her son Somer as a bride. Except for Sadik, the entire family is ecstatic about this occasion. The Kalenders continue with their wedding preparations, unaware that they are nearing the end of their calm life.
