A Netflix Series With the Taste of Yeşilçam. Here is the review of Netflix Series TERZİ (THE TAILOR), Will The Series Continue In The Second Season?

Terzi (The Tailor), starring Çağatay Ulusoy, Salih Bademci and Şifanur Gül, was recently released in Drama/Mystery with a Yeşilçam-like feel. The series takes place between Istanbul and Kars and the first season consists of seven episodes. Terzi, the story of Gülseren Budaıcıoğlu, will be presented to us for two more seasons, according to the news. Terzi, who I thought had a fluent subject at first glance, hindered his mystery with the trailers he published. The fact that almost all the key points of the scenario were revealed in the trailers diluted the flow of the series.

Played by Çağatay Ulusoy, Peyami is the heir of a well-established family that grew up in Kars. Having a mentally unstable father, Peyami both ignores and hides this fact, being isolated from Kars all his life. Peyami, who spent his entire childhood with this reality, never knows how to feel towards his father (Olgun Şimşek). He spends his high school life in Istanbul and stays there. However, with the death of his grandfather, his grandmother and father move to Istanbul with Peyami. The emotional struggle between his father and Peyami is reflected very well. Olgun Şimşek really did justice to his role.

Peyami, a very famous and talented fashion designer in Istanbul, and his best friend Dimitri (Salih Bademci) since high school, appear as a crazy and psychopathic personality who is preparing for marriage. Esvet (Şifanur Gül), whom she wants to marry by force, is subjected to violence by herself and finds the solution in running away.

Throughout the series, we watch the events and mood changes after the intersection of Esvet and Peyami's paths in a green pine-like manner. The character of Esvet improves Peyami's feeling of not knowing how to feel towards his father, and while Peyami is ashamed of everyone about it, he does not hesitate for a moment from Esvet.

I can't help but mention the acting of Dimitri, that is Salih Bademci, and he is once again with us with a great acting, just like in the TV series Club. He shows us the Greek accent and the psychopath of the character with a very good drama ability.

I can say that Terzi's end-of-season scene is the scene that gives me the real Yeşilçam feeling. Dimitri learns about Peyami and Esvet's relationship, and guns are drawn at a horse farm. Esvet's self-sacrifice and Dimitri's accountability leave a nostalgic atmosphere. Finally, I liked the song called Füzüli Cantata, which is frequently used in the series, I think it fits the mood of the series very much and I definitely recommend you to listen to it.
